saar drimer

Welcome.

As of October 2005, I am researching towards a PhD degree in hardware security at the University of Cambridge, UK.

I am part of the Security Research Group in the Computer Laboratory and am being supervised by Dr. Markus Kuhn. I'm a member of Darwin College. Previously, I worked as a Design Engineer for Xilinx's Advanced Product Division in San Jose, California after receiving my BSc in Computer Engineering from UC Santa Cruz.

In case you are wondering, my first name, Saar / סער, means "storm" (masculine form) in Hebrew. Drimer / דרימר does not have any literal meaning that I am aware of, but the origin is German, Hungarian or somewhere thereabouts.

Check out my personal weblog where I rant: Side Channels.

If you have comments of any kind, feel free to contact me: <first name><last name>@gmail.com.
